The Pierre Corthay boutique-workshop situated close to the Place de la Madeleine was designed by NeM (Niney et Marca architectes company). The designer aspires to “make footwear which are extra fascinating…” and wanted a spot that would mirror his handcrafted and custom-made creations. He needed to combine traditional and modern. The store’s woodwork has remained intact because the constructing’s development and varieties the idea for the furniture and colorful built-in niches, which echo the designs of the brand. Duck-blue and orange sofas and yellow rugs with graphic patterns energize the basic area. The result is a warm boutique-workshop, good for slipping on a pair of Pierre Corthay and feeling as snug as in a cocoon.
