Japanese architect and writer Kengo Kuma, who has been awarded the distinction of Officier de L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in France, has designed the boutique for the Chinese language brand Shang Xia. The Hermès subsidiary, situated in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, designs luxurious clothes, furniture, and different ornamental objects that includes elegant and refined Chinese language craftsmanship. The artist’s inspirations abound within the rue de Sèvres boutique. To begin with, its transparency and readability, attribute of Japanese structure. Then white, raw wood and immaculate lighting predominate. If you stroll via the door, the place is sort of a chook’s nest during which the creations are delicately exposed. The walls resemble actual braids just like the Japanese braiding: the kumihimo. A real haven of peace and harmony in the coronary heart of the Parisian frenzy.
