The complicated consists of eight rectangular volumes with vaulted ceilings, personal courtyards, pools, and semi-open spaces. The cubic homes, which comply with the slope of the promontory, type a standard settlement, respecting the idioms of Cycladic structure. While the local stone walls present coolness in summer time and heat in winter, the architects additionally used a pure ecological plaster, “Kourasani,” discovered in Historic Greece. “This plaster accommodates processed volcanic ash from Santorini (Terra Pozzuolana) and natural ceramic/stone powder, recognized for their hydraulic properties,” the studio explains. Around it, vegetation and pergolas product of wooden and reed invite tranquility. And at the coronary heart, arches. “They have something timeless and metaphysical that intrigues our imagination,” adds the studio.
