After almost a decade of loyal service to the House of Cartier, exploring the world of knickknack, designer Lara Bohinc launched into the world of furniture together with her own studio in 2016. Obsessive about deconstructing and reconfiguring pure geometric shapes, her designs focus on curves, like her latest assortment “Peaches,” unveiled at Milan Design Week. Introduced as a celebration of femininity, composed of three seats – Huge Woman, Derrière, and Peachy – out there in purple and pink, it is unequivocally impressed by the female body. Handcrafted in an upholstery workshop in North London, wooden and steel type the bones of every piece. A layer of froth is used to create tender curves.
