This breeding floor for expertise promotes artists and designers, from trendy art and modern sculptural design, by taking up places as legendary as they're unusual, to make them the setting for its exhibitions.&

The progressive strategy of the Attali brothers’ Philia gallery is to create a true dialogue with the historical past of locations in prime spaces around the globe. The 2 founders, enthusiastic about art, literature, and philosophy, have arrange their nursery in Geneva, New York, Singapore, and Mexico Metropolis. For Ygaël Attali, the aim is to transcend social, cultural, and geographic boundaries by celebrating art and design. In the spirit of a cupboard of curiosities, their vast assortment is thus nomadic and heterogeneous, beyond their permanent areas. After the artists’ residency at Atelier Alain Ellouz in Bièvres, Essonne, and the exhibition “Héritages” at Le Corbusier’s Cité Radieuse in Marseille, the gallery is taking up two villas by Jean Nouvel within the Côte d’Azur for the primary time in France, commissioned by Rivere Group.

Sculptural and avant-garde beauty

The Villa Maeterlinck in Good and the villa in St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat are two jewels built-in into the landscape with personal views of the Mediterranean. For Jean Nouvel, they are an ode to their aerial roots. The primary, carved into the rock, dissipates the boundary between inside and exterior because of sliding partitions. The second, coated by a glass roof with a metallic body, breathes by way of the everlasting presence of the flora and knows the best way to be discreet from the surface. Right here the gallery continues to strengthen the hyperlinks between its works, the aesthetics of architecture and the pure setting. Among the many many pieces on display are Andres Monnier’s hand-carved stone hearth within the patio, Gerard Kuijpers’ Dancing Stones, Arno Declercq’s daybed, and Jörg Pietschmann’s strong oak bench. The exhibition also presents work by Frederic Saulou, Rick Owens, Elsa Foulon, Sam Szafran, Flora Temnouche, and Mateo Revillo. The collection thus fantastically clothes the areas in a scenography echoing the type of the French architect.
